Tunze Water Valve - 8555.200
- Electrically Operated Solenoid Valve
- Compatible with Tunze Osmolator 3155 & Osmolator Nano 3152
- Replacement Valve for the Tunze RO Water Controller
The Tunze Water Valve provides an alternative to using a pump with the Tunze Osmolator 3155 or Osmolator Nano 3152 auto top off (ATO) systems. Instead of pumping water from a reservoir, the electrically operated solenoid valve opens and closes to control water flowing through a connected tube.
This makes it a great option for gravity-fed auto top off systems or other applications where water is already supplied under pressure, such as directly from an RO/DI system.
Use Cases
- Osmolator Water Valve: Replace the standard pump on a Tunze Osmolator 3155 or Osmolator Nano 3152 with the Water Valve to control water from a gravity-fed reservoir, RO/DI system, or other suitable water source.
- Replacement Solenoid: Use as a replacement water valve for the Tunze RO Water Controller.
Specifications
- Model: 8555.200
- Maximum Water Pressure: 145 PSI (10 bar)

Product Questions
Can I order an Osmolator with this solenoid, or do I have to order the Osmolator with the pump and then pay separately for this solenoid?
Question by: Doug on Jan 18, 2017, 12:49 PM
Great question! Unfortunately, they are not sold as a combo unit and you would have to purchase both products. Thanks!

Is it possible to run two of these off the same Osmolator? My thought here is that my sump is going to cost me around $900 and I'm quite worried about drilling a hole in it for a float valve as a secondary shutoff. But if I could run two of these... even if one failed in the on position the second should run properly and stop flow.
Is this a sound plan?
Thanks,
Brian

Great question!
These will not be able to run 2 on 1 osmolator. the voltage would vary for each causing them to not function. individual controller will be required for each water valve. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

Does this solenoid just use 110v power? Can I use it with a timer plugged into a wall outlet or would I need to buy the tunze controller also? Thanks
Question by: Chad on Jan 21, 2016, 1:19 PM
Great question,
This solenoid is connected directly to the Tunze Osmolator controller and does not have a rating on what voltage would work. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

Will the Tunze water valve work with the Tunze Osmolator Nano 3152?
Question by: Caleb on Jun 8, 2014, 1:43 PM
Hi Caleb,
Unfortunately the Osmolator accessories (switch socket, water valve, etc) are only made to work with the Osmolator 3155.

When the power fails, does this valve close?
Question by: Mike on Jan 20, 2014, 8:07 AM
Hi Mike,
This is a normally closed valve, so unless it is being powered then the valve is closed.
