D-D Aquascape Epoxy is a two-part putty designed for use in both freshwater and saltwater systems. It's ideal for bonding live rocks to create or solidify aquarium aquascapes, prepping and positioning coral frags, creating clam bases, or even reparing aquarium equipment or pipework and bonding items to aquarium glass. The Rock Grey color is particularly useful for repairing rockscapes and liners in ponds. This putty has been developed to be stickier than competitor epoxies so that it can bond easier to wet substrates, making aquarium repairs a breeze.
Once fully cured, D-D Aquascape Epoxy can be machined, drilled, tapped, turned, filed, sawn, sandpapered and painted (if desired). It is heat resistant up to 130 degrees Celsius. Aquascape will bond to any of the following materials: wood, brick, cement, metals, concrete, rock, plastic, glass; making it an excellent general adhesive. Please note that it is not designed to be used as a thin layer bonding agent where a conventional glue is indicated. The epoxy will become semi-hard within 3-4 hours and fully cures hard as rock overnight. It is necessary to support heavy rocks, corals and overhangs until the putty sets.
During use, take care not to overmanipulate underwater. If the aquarium water starts to become cloudy, stop using immediately and allow the water to clear.
