Streamlined Temperature Control

  • Dual Power Relays
  • Redundant Temperature Probes
  • App Notifications
  • Controls up to Two Heating Elements
  • Compatible with BRS Titanium Heating Elements

This user-friendly temperature controller can be connected to a maximum of two heaters, ensuring optimal temperature stability for your fish, plants, shrimp, or other aquatic pets. Its dual LCD display provides a clear view of the set temperature and the current aquarium temperature. Even better, it's a breeze to program, so you’ll be up and running in a matter of minutes.

The 306a Aquarium Temperature Controller can manage up to 10 amps of current, which translates to approximately 1200 Watts at 120 volts. You have the flexibility to divide this power across the two outlets. We recommend utilizing two smaller heaters instead of one larger one for added redundancy.

Stay Updated with App Alerts

If you add the controller to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, you can unlock the ability to be notified when something goes wrong via the InkBird App. Should the temperature deviate from your set range by more than 5°F, you'll receive an instant notification. You’ll also get a notification if the temperature read by the two sensors is separated by more than 5°F.

Product Questions

What is the refresh rate? I.e. how often does it update the temperature?
Question by: Brian on Nov 15, 2024, 6:02 AM
It will have the current temperature showing at all times, it will update as soon as the sensor picks up a difference.

I have a tank with a sump and im placing the heaters in the sump where is the best place to mount the probes? next to heaters, in the return area, or next to the drains? or do i need to place them in different areas?
Question by: Matthew Denney on Feb 24, 2024, 1:18 AM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. A lot of the time it comes to where they will fit. I would try to leave them as far away from the heater as possible in the sump. To get the most accurate tank temperature. Please let me know if you need anything further.

Can you use a single controller and use each probe in two separate aquariums, I want to buy another 100w brs titanium heating element, but for my second 10 gallon tank and use a single controller to heat both my 10 gallons
Question by: Damian Dunford on Mar 11, 2023, 12:20 PM
Thanks for the question! Both probes should be in the same tank as you will get alarms if the temperature between both probes does vary too much and lead to issues. It is best to use one controller for a single tank. For your application, I would recommend two InkBird controllers and two heatrs.

When does the second heater turn on? So far it's just the heater that's plugged into the # 1 outlet.
Question by: Jeff on Dec 23, 2021, 4:21 PM
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Both of the plugs on the heater are controlled at the same time, so if one heater is on, both are on. Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a great day.
