Connects directly to AutoAqua's Smart ATO and Smart ATO Micro!

AutoAqua's Smart ATO DC Refill Pump only takes a few minutes to replace, and in all honesty, they are not the highest quality, but they are low in price, making it wallet-friendly to keep a back-up on hand in case your current one fails. You can get close to 30,000 hours of continuous operation out of the Smart ATO pumps, but if you use kalkwasser or other additives in your ATO, they can lead to premature failure.

Auto top off pumps can fail from time to time and having a back-up pump on hand is always a smart thing to do. Making sure your system keeps topping off for evaporation is one of the biggest keys to a stable and successful reef tank, and if you have to go a few days waiting on a new pump, even manual top offs can lead to instability in the salinity within the inhabitants.
