Product Questions
I'm looking to put together a saltwater mixing station with 2 each 44 gallon Brute barrels, hard piped with a manifold that would either pull water from a RO barrel to the salt barrel or from the salt water barrel back to the salt water barrel to mix the saltwater over time. Which pump do you recommend? I'm thinking PVC pipe and ball valves for the manifold. Probably 1/2" or 3/4" pipe. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your inquiry! To speak further on a setup as such, I would recommend reaching out to your LFS for in-person set-up advice. If you would like to discuss products that could hold up to the necessary GPH and head pressure of this setup, feel free to reach out to our customer service team at support@bulkreefsupply.com.

I have a 4.0 and the impeller has broken, do you sell a replacement impeller?

unfortunately, we do not carry the impeller and you would need to get it from Sicce Directly.

It doesn't look like the adjustable flow rate can be used if operated externally. Is this true?

Thanks for contacting BRS!
That is correct, this pump is only adjustable when used internally, but we would recommend using a ball valve to adjust your flow if using this externally. Have a great day!

I have a 90 gallon with dual 1" overflows with 3/4th" returns and around 3' of head pressure, do you think this pump would provide enough flow? Mixed reef frag tank, thanks!!!!
Question by: John on Jan 18, 2018, 5:04 PM
The Syncra Silent 4.0 could be a good choice, at 3ft of head pressure you should be seeing right around 600 GPH give or take. If funding is available, the 5.0 would be the ideal choice and it would provide close to 800-900 GPH to the tank which meets the 10x return recommendation.
