The maximum thickness this mount can use is 1 3/8" and can go down to 1/2" as needed.

How far will the light stick out from the back of the tank? My tank is 24 inches wide, will the light on this mount reach the middle of the tank?

Including the locking nut, you will need at least 1.5" of space behind the tank to accommodate the XR15 mounting arm (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/multi-light-rms-arm-kit.html). The fixture should be able to place the light above the center of that tank.

How thick is the part of the mount bracket that's on the inside lip of the tank. I have just over 1/2 inch between my tank and skimmer where it needs to mount.

Hello, I am considering mounting these on a standard tank that has a canopy. The canopy is much taller than standard, but I need to know how tall these are from the rim mounting point to the very top of the G5 X-bracket. I need this measurement to see if they will fit within my canopy. Thanks!
