I'd like to use this pump to move saltwater into the tank during water changes. Will it fit through the 2-1/4" i.d. spout in a standard 5 gallon water jug?

Hello! The width of the pump is 2.25", this would not fit through.

Hi, It seems funny that this pumps L is the same as its W? I thought it was an ovalish shape. Could you please confirm those dimensions are correct. Thanks!

Great question and I was able to pull one from the shelf and measured it. The dimensions are 2.25" x 1.8" x 2.75" without any fitting attached. Add another 2 inches for the output fitting to be attached. Thanks for catching that and we did get the site updated.

Does this pump draw water from the bottom only? Looking for a pump to run in 2" of water

Great question!
This pump will not draw from the bottom but all over the side. If you would like you may add an elbow to angle the intake downwards closer to the water to make it draw from a specific location. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
