Not really a pressure drop more than 1 PSI with the sediment filter. When these clog you will notice more than 5% drop in pressure.
No they are not. These are standard 10x2.5" size filters.
This filter will remove roughly twice the amount of sediment before clogging compared to the regular filters.
The 1 micron filter will remove most particles smaller then 1 micron, compared to 5 with the 5 micron filter. In theory a 1 micron filter will remove more stuff but the downside is that for most folks they clog a lot faster so most folks use 5 micron filters as they offer the best balance between cost and performance. Everyone's water supply is a bit different though, so if you can use a 1 micron filter and not have it clog rapidly on your water supply then use the 1 micron.
