Overview

Favites do best in stable conditions with moderate lighting and flow. Lighting Requirements

Ideal Tank Placement

Position it where the water current isn’t too turbulent but has a steady flow, preventing detritus from settling onto the coral. Place it in an area where it has some room to grow and encrust. This could be on the rockwork or directly onto the aquarium glass in a bare bottom setup.

Water Flow Requirements

Moderate water flow is ideal. Aim for movement that’s enough to gently shift the coral’s tissue without blasting it directly, as this helps to keep debris from collecting on the surface and promotes healthy growth.

Aggressiveness and Compatibility
