Yes, A schedule 80 male threaded barb will work with the threaded connector included with the valve as long as the barb is the same nominal size as the ball valve. The threads are NPT.

I have 3 1/2” valves running a manifold this set up has been running for a little over a year and I have already replaced all 3 valves once because they were leaking through the shaft of the handle. At the time you didn’t have the replacement gasket kit in stock so I just got new ones. A few months later they are all leaking again. I have several 3/4” and 1 1/2” that are great still dry as a bone. Am I missing something on the 1/2”? Would a gate valve be a better option in 1/2”? Thanks kevin

A gate valve probably wouldn't help much more than a ball valve, in fact I prefer the ball valve because the control does not need to be as precise. If you are experiencing a leak in your valves please contact our customer support for warranty support.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us! We currently do not sell the replacement sleeves for these ball valves. Also, the Sch80 True Unions will not fit with the Cepex valve. You would have to purchase a new valve for those parts. :-)

I am setting up a 240 gallon reef tank it's 8 feet long with an overflow on each end 3/4 supply and 1 inch return I wanted to use these ball valves but wasn't sure if they can work with schedule 40 or if I have to plumb the whole setup in schedule 80? Also I wanted to get the wye check valve in 3/4 in for supply but it looks like it has slip fittings how can I install the check valve inline with the solid piping?

Hey Louis,
Sch40 and sch80 have the same size fittings, etc and are interchangeable so no worries there. The slip fittings on the check valve are the same diameter as the pipe, so they can be connected with unions or really any other fititng that would connect two pieces of pipe.

Can I use the Cepex ball valves with Schedule 40 PVC? My tank is already drilled for the Schedule 40 bulkheads so I'm already stuck with that kind of PVC. Just wanted to be sure before I purchased this for my plumbing.

Schedule 80 and 40 pvc are compatible. All the plumbing will have the corresponding nominal sizes, so a 1" Sch80 Cepex ball valve for example will fit 1" Sch40 pipe just fine.

Vinyl tubing cannot be connected directly but you could also pick up some barb fittings to attach to each side of the valve that would then allow you to connect a flexible tubing.
