The Brightwell No3 Brick Starter Bundle gives your aquarium an easy boost in biological filtration and nitrate control. The No3 Brick provides a large amount of porous surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, and what sets it apart from standard bio media is the addition of elemental sulfur. That sulfur serves as a food source for the bacteria that remove nitrate, helping support natural denitrification in systems where nitrate tends to linger.

The brick’s dimpled design also improves water contact, allowing flow to pass through when a single brick is placed in a sump or when multiple bricks are stacked together.

Paired with MicroBacter Start XLM to quickly seed the brick with live nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, this bundle is a simple way to add both general biofiltration and targeted nitrate reduction to new or established aquariums.
