While the aquarium is glass, the baffle kit is not so we do not recommend using that adhesive to combine the two.

Is one of these alone enough to seal a 55 gallon aquarium? How many oz would I need?

Hey there! In cases where I'm redoing the silicone on a tank, I like to air on the side of caution and make sure I have more than enough for the project. In which case, I would recommend at least three tubes for that size of tank. :-)
