Create depth and realism with this slim, natural looking background. At just 15mm thick, this ultra-slim background is easy to install and designed to blend seamlessly into any setup. Thanks to its durable mineral resin top layer, this background is resistant to moisture, wear, and temperature fluctuations, making it perfect for both aquariums and terrariums. The hand-finished rock texture in warm Colorado Brown tones adds a realistic aesthetic to your aquarium.

Multiple panels can be used for longer aquariums. When placed side by side, the panels flow together for a natural, continuous look.

Installation Instructions:

1. Gather supplies: tape measure, utility knife, hack saw, and aquarium-safe silicone.
2. Measure the inside dimensions of the aquarium.
3. If trimming is needed, mark the measurements on the back of the background (note top and bottom).
4. Score along the line with a utility knife, then complete the cut with a hack saw.
5. Dry-fit the background to confirm proper sizing.
6. Apply silicone to the back: place ~1" dots in each corner and in the center, then connect dots with continuous lines to prevent water from getting behind the background.
7. Press the background firmly against the back of the aquarium.
8. Repeat for additional panels if required.
9. Allow silicone to cure fully before adding water (follow manufacturer’s directions).

Tip: If installing in an empty aquarium, lay the tank on its back and place weights on the background while the silicone cures.
