Prairie Sand is a coarse sand with natural tan and brown color tones. Its size and color make it ideal for aquascaping planted tanks. It can be used as a cap layer or simply used by itself if you're not using a separate plant-specific substrate.
The 0.8-1.2mm pebble size allows for a massive amount of surface area for the colonization of beneficial bacteria.
