MarcoRocks Reef Saver Shelf Dry Live Rock is perfect for any new or established reef tank. Each piece has a flat side that can be used to make shelves to hold corals or give shade to other corals below. Aquascaping with shelf rock is not the easiest, but if you have a little patience and a little creativity, you can make your aquascape stand out in a league of its own. Our favorite is mixing Reef Saver Shelf Rock with traditional MR Coralline Rock. The similar style of rock allows for a seamless transition from one style of rock to another.

Because these are pre-boxed by MarcoRocks, we are unable to take special requests for rock sizes or shapes. This is a natural product, so the size and number of rocks in each box will vary. 

MarcoRocks Reef Saver Foundation Live Rock, the environmentally friendly rock, works great for aquascaping. This rock is 100% free of nuisance algae and pests which can cause complete tank shut downs and is guaranteed to be free of aiptasia, bubble algae, parasitic isopods, mantis shrimp, acro eating flat worms, little red bugs, fire worms, predatory nudibranchs, pyramidellid snails and other common pests.

How much rock do I need?

Knowing exactly how much Dry Live Rock you will need can be one of the hardest questions to answer since every tank and rock will be slightly different. A general guideline for Reef Saver Shelf Dry Live Rock, we suggest 3/4 to 1 pound of rock per gallon of display tank volume and may vary depending on your overall goal for the aquascape. We always recommend purchasing a little extra dry rock to ensure that you will have enough to complete the aquascape you are looking for, any extra rock can always be broken up and placed in your refugium, overflows, and sump for added filtration.

Shipping: BRS makes every effort to securely pack the rock, however, shipping is not always gentle on heavy products like this. Because of this, we are unable to replace or refund broken pieces. If this happens, most pieces can be easily repaired with epoxy, super glue gel, or mortar.
