The Brightwell No3 Plate gives you an easy way to increase your aquarium's biological filtration while also helping reduce nitrate. The No3 Plate is made from ultra-porous ceramic material and infused with elemental sulfur. That sulfur serves as a food source for the bacteria that remove nitrate, supporting natural denitrification in systems where nitrate tends to accumulate. This makes the No3 Plate a great option for hobbyists looking to add targeted nitrate control along with general biological support.

We particularly like the plate form factor as it allows us to place the plate between most sump baffles.

Paired with MicroBacter Start XLM to quickly seed the brick with live nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, this bundle is a simple way to add both general biofiltration and targeted nitrate reduction to new or established aquariums.
