The Brightwell Bio Brick Starter Bundle gives you a simple way to increase your aquarium's overall biological filtration. The Bio Brick is made from ultra-porous ceramic material that offers a huge amount of surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. This creates a strong foundation for natural nutrient processing by supporting the bacteria that handle ammonia and nitrite, helping the system stay stable as bioload grows. Unlike the No3 version, the standard Bio Brick does not contain elemental sulfur and is focused on broad, everyday biological filtration rather than specialized nitrate reduction.

The brick’s dimpled design helps improve contact time and flow, whether placed flat in a sump or stacked with additional bricks when more capacity is needed.

Paired with MicroBacter Start XLM to quickly seed the brick with live nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, this bundle is a simple way to add both general biofiltration and targeted nitrate reduction to new or established aquariums.
