I want to be sure I have the installation instructions correct. I was going to locate the switch where the final water comes out of the DI canister as I figured this was where the float valve would create the back pressure to activate the switch. The instructions that came with the unit say to install it in the line coming out of the r/o unit. Is that really the intention? If so, why is that the desired location in the system?

Great question! The Pressure Switch should be installed after the DI Resin stages. The built up back pressure from your reservoir's float valve will cause the switch to activate and electronically shut off your booster pump. :-)

Does it matter which way I plug in the rodi line? I don't see arrows referring to in/out, and the way I have it installed it failed to shut off my unit after the float valve activated.

Great question! It does not matter which way it is installed, however it does require 40psi of back pressure before it is engaged. It can take 15-20 minutes after the float valve has risen before the pressure builds up enough to engage the switch. :-)

my pressure switch dont work i tried to connect it different ways but it dont turn off my booster pump, i have and 150 upgraded how i can make it work? i already watched the video but still cant make it work

Does this switch have hysteresis, and if so how much? I want to avoid TDS creep in a home RO system, so I don't want the pump running every time I pull a single glass of water.

The switch does have a time and pressure delay on the system. The pressure will lower enough from the tank to force more water in which will cause the booster pump to fill however not after every glass. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

I have the 150gpd upgrade kit. So i need a psi of 65, but this switch cuts out at 40psi. Can you increase the pressure triggerpoint from 40psi to 65psi?

The switch cuts out when the product water reaches 40psi. The only time that would happen is when your float valve is up, anytime you are making water the product water side will be about 0psi :)

This pressure switch doesn't plug directly into a power outlet. The pressure switch interfaces between the booster pump and the booster pump power supply.
