Is this product toxic during the curing process? If I poured water over the seal attaching the dry rocks in an aquascape together to increase the sealing rate and after a few minutes once the sealant could hold its own weight filled up the 10g to start cycling the tank, how long would any toxin released by the partially cured silicone sealant remain in the tank if running a nano protein skimmer to break it in and a 30g hang on waterfall filter containing activated carbon? Dosing 40 drops of Nitrobacter daily diluted in RO/DI water as well. Will silicone sealant finish curing underwater?

Thank you for your question. Silicone needs to cure for 7-10 days before you can add water. Adding water before then will cause it to not cure properly and could release toxins into the water.
I would recommend using super glue and instant set and then covering the joints with Marco Mortar:

It sets fast and sets in water. In our rock scaping tests we found that it made a strong joint for the cost of materials.

Great question! Absolutely! This product is intended specifically for that purpose as well as resealing the aquarium seams. :-)
