What exact brand of 40 Breeder is this supposed to fit I have three different 40 breeders and they are all 17 1/2 inches on the inside This drop in says it measures according to your website 16.20 inches that’s going to leave roughly 1-1/4” of gap on the side of the drop and insert

These are intended to be used solo and are designed to fit the specific tank listed in the product title. You could potentially use multiple in the same system if desired.

Thank you for your question. You can install a skimmer into the Fiji Cube All-in-One kit but it is not necessary. The skimmer section is 4.4”L x 6.7” so you could install a skimmer such as the AquaMaxx WS-1:

A skimmer helps remove nutrients from the system, but you can also handle nutrient export via regular water changes.

You can choose from a number of nano skimmer options for the 40 Breeder drop in kit. I would recommend checking out the WS-1 by Aquamax. It would be a great option:
