How Does it Work?

As water flows into the filter roller, debris and waste collect on the filter fleece. Once the fleece becomes clogged, the water level inside the filter roller rises, triggering the float switch. This activates the motor, advancing the roll to expose a fresh section of filter fleece. The used fleece is rolled up automatically, eliminating the need for manual removal.

Plumbing the AF-1 is simple: Connect the filter roller directly to your aquarium’s drain line using the included 1.5" PVC elbow. Ensure the recommended water depth of 4 to 6.5 inches for optimal operation. The compact design and hanging bracket allow for easy mounting inside most sump setups, making installation hassle-free.
