Know Your Flow!
Usually used with a return pump, this flow sensor can be placed in line with the flow on any pipe, connected to the FMM, and communicate to your Apex the flow rate of water through that pipe. The FS-50 will work with flow rates from 30-250 gph, and will connect to any standard 1/2" Slip PVC. The flow sensor itself uses British Standard Parallel Pipe (BSPP) threads so two specially designed PVC unions are provided with slip fittings to adapt it to standard 1/2″ PVC plumbing.

I want to use this on my external algae reactor which is fed by a return pump on my all-in-one. I'm using a reactor that uses 1/2" hoses. Could I use these (1?2" PIPE ADAPTER SPIGOT X BARB) from your site to glue into each of the included adapter ends and then connect the lines by the barb ends?

Hello could these flow sensors be submerged. Say in the overflow box plumbing. I don’t have room to put them between the under side of tank and top of the sump.

The flow sensors are not designed to be submerged, unfortunately. They can take splashes but placing them underwater could cause them to fail.

I'd like to attach one of these to the return hose of my all in one tank (Red Sea Max Nano). I contacted Red Sea, who said that the internal bore should be 19mm. How do I add a flow sensor onto that return tube?

How long is the cord on this sensor?

Hey there,
The flow sensors have a 16 foot cord length, so you should be in good shape in a variety of plumbing setups!

How do I hook this up to the BRS media reactors which come with 1/2" tubing? Is there a push-connect fitting that can connect 1/2" tubing to this flow meter?

Hey there,
The connections on the flow meter are female slip, so in order to connect to the RO tubing of the reactor, the most likely solution would be to glue a short section of 1/2" pvc into the coupling, and then attach a female slip x thread coupling, and you could then insert an npt x push connect fitting into this.
